New England axanthic adult
Axanthic "south Florida" kingsnake. Lampropeltis g, "brooksi" The New England line is a much lighter color line of axanthic from the more common Lemke line. Adults are an opalescent bluish-white with dark eyes and faded dark markings. Thse animals are in high demand due to their light coloration as adults. The New Egland line stock all originated from the canals in Floridas S. Dade county during the 1980-90's. My line has not been outcrossed and are still pure "New England stock"!
NE axanthic 1
It was once thought that the New England line of axanthics was not compatiple with the Lemke line because of their different lappearances they both have. Back in 2002 I bred a New England to a Lemke axanthic and proved that they are allelic with each other. Unfortunatly a few breeders got hold of those offspring and are now calling them pure New Englands.
NE baby
The New England name originates from the breeders who lived in the New England states and orginated this line.
DSC03425
I have bred Florida kings females as small as 20 inches. As this pic attests the eggs are normal size and they babies are healthy and large. New England females are darker than males and as all the Florida kings they don't get as big as males. Males are lighter.
